For the week of July 16th-20th, 2012

EJ takes the offensive as the police find the black gloves in his apartment that he threw away in the bin at the pier.
The gloves test positive for gunshot residue.  Lucas makes it clear he doesn’t want his kids  around EJ. Ian recalls some details that he has gone through in order to frame EJ for Stefano’s murder.
Chad breaks a window at Andrew’s house as Gabi hides in the basement.
The police arrive and threaten to restrain Chad for potentially compromising the police investigation.
Ian finds the envelope Kate’s been hiding which holds Stefano’s will and other estate papers.
After Carrie sees Rafe feeling Nicole’s baby kick, she makes a drastic decision to go back to Switzerland with Austin.

The police find Gabi and assume she was being held captive at Andrew’s basement. Family and friends of Melanie start hanging posters, looking for news related to her disappearance, while she wakes up in the tunnels under Salem.

Will accidentally drops the envelope containing news that EJ is not Stefano’s son. Lucas pockets it. John figures he’s got his ticket to the DiMera empire inside Alice’s envelope.
Abe plans another tribute for Lexie, a fundraiser for Autism research.
EJ and Sami find themselves alone with an abundance of sexual tension in the air, and Sami believes EJ is not guilty. Nicole fights her conflict over having feelings for Rafe and Daniel.

EJ is surprised when Sami shows him an idea she hopes that can clear him. Sami is overwhelmed by desire when EJ pulls her to him.
Will is frantic after realizing he has lost Alice’s letter.
John confronts Ian over Brady’s relapse. Kate is wary of Ian’s interest in DiMera Enterprises. Rafe takes the news of Carrie’s return to Switzerland hard.

EJ and Sami bond as they find something on video footage that could clear EJ, who is placed under arrest. Rafe learns EJ is not Stefano’s son.
Gabi almost confesses to Chad, but backs down.
Bo and Hope identify the kidnapper as a patient of a mental institute.
Melanie uses Andrew’s feelings  to her advantage.
Debris falls on to Melanie as she smells gas…uh, oh…

Update: “Days Of Our Lives” will be pre-empted for the duration of the summer Olympics from Monday, July 30th  through Friday, August 1oth. There will be no new episodes until Monday, August 13, 2012.
