Blake Berris (Nick) will end his stint on “Days Of Our Lives” during the week of May 5th, 2014.

Berris originally joined the cast as the perpetually troubled, and occasional murderous maniac, Nick Fallon in 2006. After exiting Salem to spend time in prison for murder in 2009, the character returned in 2012 and quickly got busy ruining the lives of those around him. Since he has antagonized most of the other characters he has come in contact with, the suspect list for who might have bumped him off is pretty big.

For his work in the role of Nick, Berris received a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2009 for Outstanding Young Actor in a Drama Series. The busy actor has already shot the role of Gareth in the upcoming horror comedy Crazy Bitches and is the co-writer and co-star of The Shining City, which is soon to gear into production. The ‘Days of Our Lives’ Dual Coast event will take place throughout 2014.  Mark your calendar for Saturday September 20th at The Westin O’Hare Chicago – it will include a Q & A, a meet & greet, and a cocktail party. More stars from Salem are expected to add their names to the guest list in the coming months. So far, Eric Martsolf (Brady) and Melissa Reeves (Jennifer) are planning to attend.

Country music singer Justin Gaston is coming to Salem as Ben Known for his appearance on Nashville Star, Gaston first began taping at the NBC Daytime soap in October, and is expected to air on Thursday, February 27th.

A casting call went out in June 2013 for the Ben character which was described as “a midwestern or southern (very southern accent) country boy,” and ” is utterly charming in his honest sincere approach to life and love.”

Ben will first share scenes with Sonny (Freddie Smith), Tad (Brendon Coughlin) and Jordan (Chrishell Stause).

Gaston is married to The Young and the Restless star Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman).

 

 

Photo: Alison Ann Sweeney (born September 19, 1976) is  best known for her portrayal of Sami Brady on NBC’s long running Days of our Lives. She has played under contract with the show since January 6, 1993. She has earned four Soap Opera Awards and a Fan Voted Daytime Emmy Award.  In 2007, she became the host of  The Biggest Loser.

In 2002, she appeared on a celebrity episode of the NBC reality game show Fear Factor. She has also appeared in other NBC shows such as Friends and Las Vegas. In 2007, she joined the Jerry Lewis Telethon as a co-host for the live television broadcast. She returned to her co-hosting duties for the 2008, 2009, and 2010 telethons.

In 2007, Sweeney took over hosting duties on The Biggest Loser, replacing Caroline Rhea since the fourth season. She was surprised but happy to be offered the role, where she is able to cheer on contestants and share their victories.

In the 1990s, Sweeney struggled with her weight. She eventually was a US dress size 12 (UK dress size 16), not obese by medical standards, but still larger than her television peers. She documented all the tabloid talk and personal anguish in her 2004 memoir, All The Days of My Life (So Far).

Updates:

Look for Gabi’s baby girl to be born in late April or early May, just as wedding bells will chime for Kristin & Brady.

Chloe’s (Nadia Bjorlin) last air date for this year will be on April 20th. It looks like Chloe will give up on Dr. Dan.

Sydney is actually Nicole’s baby after all…she did not lose the child several years ago, and Dr. Cameron was involved in the coverup. Irritating Anne Milbauer will find out this information about him at the hospital, and she had better keep her mouth shut!

It looks like Chloe & Mother Nancy are in cahoots! The week of March 11th-15th, Chloe will drug Daniel and have him in a motel room just so Jennifer can see it all!

Actor Peter Reckell (Bo Brady) and his wife have sold their Brentwood, California home for $3.35 million.

Boston, MA will be the location for a special fan event this summer. It will feature actors Shawn Christian (Daniel), Galen Gering (Rafe), Eric Martsolf (Brady) and Greg Vaughan (Eric). The “Dual Coast Event” will take place on Saturday August 3 at the Hyatt Harborside at Boston Logan’s Airport. The event will include a photo shoot, a brunch, Q&A session, role playing, dinner and akaraoke dance party. Gabi will plan another wedding ceremony just as Will plans on crashing it.

EJ and Sami or Brady and Kristen will get married in May and/or and it might be a double wedding at the DiMera mansion. Abby will have an affair with  Cameron. Actor John-Paul Lavoisier and actress Jen Lilley will play the new Rex and Cassie Brady. Get ready for Sami to go after Nick and it’s going to get wild! Daniel and Chloe will get back together, Jenn will be out of the picture.

The latest wrinkle is that Gabi WILL not lose the baby, who will be born this spring. We will see what happens, but there is a rumor about a name and custody battle storyline.

Other Updates:

Doctor Cameron is actually working for Stefano. Nicole didn’t lose the baby she was going to have with EJ, Stefano had Cameron deliver the baby early and that baby is still alive!

Nick has changed someone’s test results: Kate may end up ‘pregnant’, she may be concerned about cancer again, and Nancy (Nick’s mother) will take on Kate for some reason.

Rafe and Hope will get together in the future.

Brady and Kristen will marry and Brady will discover the real Kristen. Sami and EJ will move in together.

Darin Brooks (Max) and Rachel Melvin (Chelsea) are headed back to Days in April.

There is a rumour that Rex and Cassie will return as well.

Days Of Our Lives Fan Event In Florida Come one, come all!

Many of Days stars will be heading down to Florida. They will be meeting their fans at the Universal Orlando Resort on Saturday February 23rd: John Aniston (Victor), Camila Banus (Gabi), Shawn Christian (Daniel), Casey Deidrick (Chad), Galen Gering (Rafe), Kate Mansi (Abigail), Eric Martsolf (Brady), Peggy McCay (Caroline), James Scott (EJ) and Arianne Zucker (Nicole) are currently scheduled to attend this event. It will feature autograph signings, a Q&A session, a parade and more.

Kristen will plan to marry Brady and dump him at the altar, but John will return to Salem with a plan to save Brady.

Sami pushes Will to protect his parental rights but her actions will make things worse.

Nick’s former prison mate becomes part of Eric’s prison outreach program, and Nick’s past starts to unravel.

Sonny and Will have a heartbreaking Valentine’s Day.

Nicole will have forbidden feelings for Father Eric.

The Jennifer-Daniel love affair will most likely come to an end.

Nicole and EJ will be together around Valentine’s Day, with an appearance by Taylor.

Sami will get back together with Rafe.

Gabi will probably lose the baby.

Kate and Stefano will have to face some past secrets; Kate will be involved in a tragedy with Bill Horton by her side.

A new character will come to Salem named Keara Baldwin – she will be a 25 to 30-year-old Caucasian physical therapist who hides herself behind plain hairstyles and glasses, and has a dark secret about the past few years of her life. Look for her to appear sometime in late March or early April.

Photo: Lauren Koslow portrays Kate Roberts, an accomplished business woman and devoted mother who has had to ‘claw her way to the top’ from poverty on Days of our Lives.
Born in Boston and raised in Newport, Rhode Island and Amherst, Massachusetts, Lauren wanted to be an actress at a young age. After graduating with a theatre degree specializing in costume design in 1975 from Virginia State University near Petersburg, she signed on with a summer stock theater group in Virginia as a costume designer. She was also asked to audition for the role of Vera in the play Ten Little Indians.
Koslow soon put her costume designing talent aside to become a full-time actress, appearing in such regional productions as Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Dial M for Murder and The Importance of Being Earnest. She then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a television career and landed roles on such shows as The New Mike Hammer, House Calls, Spies, and The A-Team.
While in an acting class, she met a producer from The Young and the Restless who encouraged her to audition for his series. Koslow not only won the role, but found her husband, make-up artist Nick Schillace, on the show. Koslow was then cast as fashion designer Margo Lynley on The Bold and the Beautiful. Following this role, she was cast as Kate Roberts on Days of our Lives.
Lauren and her family recently moved to a more rural area of Ventura County, just north of Los Angeles. She is the proud mother of Zachariah, and Milikate. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, painting and encouraging her children to take care of the mini family zoo. They have three lizards (two bearded dragons and one spotted gecko), a talking parrot named Charlie, three dogs named Peggy Sue, Buddy, and Murphy McMuffin, a cat named Frankie and a few horses in their menagerie.
In 2001, Koslow was nominated as “Outstanding Supporting Actress” for the Soap Opera Digest Awards. Her birthday is on March 6th, so she will celebrate the big 60 this year.

Photo: James Scott (born 14 January 1979) is a British actor of Scottish descent. His first major work in the US was on the soap opera All My Children. Scott originated the role of Ethan Cambias in August 2004 and played it until February 2006. He moved on to Days of Our Lives where he took on the role of EJ DiMera in May 2006. Scott began his career working in the music industry, and later started acting in community theatre. Shortly after this, he moved to London. While there, he studied at LAMDA, the London Academy of Music and Dance. Later, he began to model for several clothing lines. During a modeling trip to LA, he went to an acting class at the Ivanna Chubbuck studio in Hollywood. The class inspired him to save money and make the move to Los Angeles. He studied acting for two more years before being cast on All My Children. He is a fan favorite and has a long time contract for his role on Days.

The actress is best known for her work on the TV show ‘Scrubs’ and has had bit parts in ‘Private Practice’, ‘Parenthood’, and other primetime shows.

Either Will or Lexie shot Stefano –  but he is NOT dead. (Who knows what happened here – it was easy to use Ian as the ‘scape goat’. Joseph Mascolo, who plays the part of Stefano, has the privilege of taking time off when he needs it, so he will be seen again).

Rumour has it that Kate will be revealed as Madison’s mother. (TRUE AND FALSE -the old writers from back in September 2011, who have since been replaced, had the storyline of Madison and Kate working together and finding out there was a mother-daughter connection. But that tale has been left unfulfilled).
