Photo: The role of Kristen Blake was originated by soap actress Eileen Davidxon, who was best known for her portrayal of Ashley Abbott on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless  and as the final actress to portray the character of Kelly Capwell  on the soap opera Santa Barbara on May 17, 1993. During Davidson’s run on Days (1993-98), she also portrayed four other characters: Susan Banks (1996–98), Sister Mary Moira Banks (1997–98), Thomas Banks (1997) and Penelope Kent (1998). Davidson departed the role of Kristen on April 24, 1998. After Davidson’s 2006 release from The Young and the Restless, rumors began to circulate that she would return to Days of our Lives. This speculation was later debunked when it was announced that her Y&R alter-ego would crossover to its sister series The Bold and The Beautiful. In May 2012, Davidson informed followers on her Twitter page that she had been let go from The Young and the Restless. It was then announced by Nelson Branco that SONY Entertainment wanted Davidson on both The Young and the Restless and on Days, but that Y&R would not share the actress, leading to Sony terminating her contract with the show (!), believing that Days needed the actress more than Y&R. It was announced that Davidson would reprise her dual roles of Kristen Blake and Susan Banks. The Hollywood Reporter later confirmed that Davidson had signed on to return to Days of our Lives in the role of Kristen, and possibly some of her other Salem alter-egos as time goes on..

Friday October 26th-November 2nd, 2012

Bo volunteers to go with Caroline to California. Sami berates herself for just finding out about Caroline and her condition. Bo says his goodbye to Abe (and everyone else…sniff). Kristen runs into Brady.
Rafe goes to Caroline after hearing about her condition. Caroline hopes that he and Sami will be back together once she returns. Sami and Rafe reconnect and confesses their love for one another.  Bo tells Victor that he is leaving with Caroline while she seeks treatment for her dementia.  John has questions about the real reason Bo’s leaving the force. Lucas interrupts Sonny and Will in their relationship. and Will  then learns Caroline is leaving town.
Nicole worries Daniel will learn the truth about falling down the stairs. Jenn begs Daniel not to move to Hawaii with Nicole, and finally, he blurts out his real feelings for Jennifer EJ interrupts Rafe and Sami just as they are getting back together. Hasn’t this happened a few times before?

Kristen is the new eneny. Marlena learns that Kristen was intending to set up therapy sessions with another therapist. She orders Sami to quit her job now that Kristen is the new boss.
Bo and Caroline prepare to leave for California where she will enter a clinical program for Alzheimer’s patients. They share many heartfelt tearful goodbyes with family.
Hope gives Bo a parting gift that he can use to continue to try bringing down the DiMeras. Does this mean we haven’t seen the last of Bo Brady?
Nicole barely misses seeing the incriminating twosie she left behind at the hospital. EJ wants to know why Nicole dropped charges against Jennifer Daniel resigns and is close to uncovering the twosie (?) Jenn goes to Maggie for advice and help with Daniel. EJ is now closer to accepting Kristen’s help to win back Sami. An unidentified guest enters Kristen’s hotel room (!) Sami questions whether there is a real threat against Kristen and John echoes her statement. Is Kristen in any real danger?
EJ promises to avenge his baby’s death, and he demands Nicole tell him the truth. Kirsten urges EJ to watch, wait and then pounce! Brady confronts Kristen and warns her to stay away from John and Marlena. Jenn and Daniel lash out at each other. It’s not good. Abby learns Daniel has resigned and is  leaving University hospital. Gabi is upset to learn Nick has an issue with Sonny and Will’s relationship but after he explains why, she accepts it.
Nicole asks Sami to get EJ to back off, which only makes Sami wonder if Nicole has been lying… Daniel looks in the lost and found for an item of his and finds the twosie.
Nick and Gabi make love and the two start falling fast for each other!
Kate cautions Will about taking things too fast with Sonny; Lucas insinuates that Sonny is just using Will for his own purposes, and Will starts to wonder. Sami agrees to work with Kristen and accepts a deal to get a bonus if she defeats Kate. Kristen has a message for Kate from Stefano.

William Christopher, best known as Father Francis Mulcahy on MASH, is slated to portray another priest on Days. He airs as Father Tobias on November 6, officiating at a church board meeting. He shares scenes with Drake Hogestyn (John) and Eileen Davidson (Kristen). The role is recurring.
