Photo: The children grow up. Look for  a new bunch of teens in Salem this October. You will see an older Theo, newcomer Claire, an older Chase & Ciara (Friday, October 30th), and of course, Joey. Look for them to exhibit character traits similar to their own parents – some wilder than others!

Much of October centers around the serial killer. After Marlena is attacked in her office, all evidence points to Chad, who is hunted by the police. Chad tries to get witnesses involved, including a homeless man, but it doesn’t work. He is allowed to stay at home under some kind of ‘house arrest’. When Will Horton is found dead by Gabi at the apartment,  Rafe continues to wonder if there could be another suspect. Undercover JJ gives evidence against drug kingpin Clyde, and he is sent away to prison, but not before sonny boy Ben sees him and confesses to the killings!

Meanwhile, at the Dimera mansion, Chad puts two and two together and figures out who could be the necktie killer. he confronts Ben at his apartment, a fight ensues, and Ben beats Chad to the point of putting him in a coma!

Caroline is under treatment at the hospital and has visions of her son Bo in trouble. She relays her info to Steve, who goes off to Cancun to find him. Sami flies in from California and she and Lucas, along with the rest of the cast, share a long cry and good bye to Will. Sonny comes home for the funeral as well, but departs soon after.

Newcomer Lani is a police officer with some type of connection with Abe Carver. The story will unfold over several months. Abe will find info on her work computer that is unsettling.

Actor Jason Cook reprises the role of Shawn D., who arrives on Friday, October 30th. He will stay in Salem for about two months.

Kayla and Joey have an emotional confrontation over his latest stunt. She lectures him about hacking into the school library lighting. Abe give Joey a stern warning but it doesn’t seem to do any good!

Aiden makes a deal with Andre & Stefano to kill Hope and make it look like the Necktie killer did the job (this is so Aiden can get insurance money from Hope’s death and pay off the Dimeras). Stefano is satisfied that Aiden will make it appear the necktie killer is on the loose – and help his son, Chad.

Hope has a harrowing bachelorette bash. The ladies catch a dancing jewel thief!

Aiden gets drunk at his bachelor party and  cracks under the pressure of having to kill Hope. An inebriated Aiden makes a startling confession to Hope that he can’t marry her.

But Andre refuses to let Aiden off the hook, and after he is sober, Aiden decides to go through with his killer plan.

Caroline has another premonition about Bo!

Steve and Bo end up together at the safe house near Cancun and try desperately to get out of a dangerous situation. Steve and Bo risk their lives to get Bo home in time to stop Hope’s wedding. Steve pulls out a chain and makes a gas leak! They make their great escape through a secret passageway and find Victor’s pilot roughed up. There is no radio but Pete the pilot agrees to take off. Danger is imminent. Bo calls Hope but all she hears is static.
Bo has heard the strain in her HELLO. He insists they fly through the tropical storm. BO AND STEVE’S PLANE HOME STARTS TO CRASH! Will they survive?

While visiting a comatose Chad, Eve decides to avenge her daughter’s death. But Justin intervenes and stops her.

Chad awakens from his coma, longing for Abigail. But he is immediately arrested for the Necktie murders, but he cannot remember everything.

Ben becomes upset when Abigail mentions her concern for Chad, and Ben’s anger rattles Abigail. Later, Ben will kidnap Abigail and hold her hostage!

Sami returns to town from Switzerland armed with startling news.

Beginning in November:

All of Salem gathers at the Martin Mansion to celebrate the town’s Bicentennial Gala  and Hope & Aiden’s wedding– a night which promises to be full of romance, mystery, and danger. Caroline tries to stop the wedding! She confides her dangerous vision to Victor.

Adrienne is shaken when she witnesses Eve and Justin in a passionate kiss.

Steve and Bo arrive in Salem! But has Hope’s fate already been sealed?  Aiden marries her only to attack her! Andre and Stefano sarcastically wish Hope well. Look for Shawn D. to help out!

Abigail is stunned when she stumbles upon evidence linking Ben to the murders – Abigail now knows what Ben did! Ben carts her off to the Horton cabin and holds her hostage! Who will save her?! (Maybe Chad).
