Aiden gives Hope (Kristian Alfonso) quite a shock with a bold confession, but  he doesn’t tell her the whole truth Aiden seems to have gotten himself way in over his head with Stefano and it’s about to get worse for him. As for Hope, even with learning new info about Aiden, she is still ready to marry him and convinced Bo really did abandon his family. Steve is the only one who seems to know the truth, but finding Bo proves to be more difficult than he thought. After conferring with Victor and John,
Steve gets the go ahead to use the Kiriakis jet to rescue Bo, who is somewhere near Cancun!

Adrienne and Justin decide to start over. Later in the month,  she becomes worried about the results of her breast cancer gene test. She has Justin to learn on for support, but she also spends her time thinking about Lucas.

Three formidable ladies find that running Basic Black might be harder than they thought. Watching Kate and Nicole together also makes Theresa realize just how green she is in the business world.  She is later surprised when she finds Brady treating her better than ever before.

Stefano has a heart attack mid month, and Chad rushes him to the hospital! John is preoccupied with his murky past and wants to find out his true identity (again)!

The Necktie Serial Killer takes center stage this month as two Salemites are killed off. Rafe will have a list of suspects, but all the evidence will point to Chad. He will try to flee town but not before Abigail shows him an old hidden cabin that her dad used, so Chad stays there for awhile. Jennifer has enough to contend with after she and JJ find they may be in more danger than they originally believed. JJ will be working undercover for the DA and will discover that Clyde is the drug kingpin in town.

Meanwhile, Rafe’s dad, Eduardo comes to town and decides  to help Rafe  find the killer. At this point, Chad is in hiding after turning to Stefano for help. Chad ends up disguising himself in order to track down an alibi for the murders. Poor Abigail can’t seem to keep her mind off Chad, despite throwing herself into wedding plans with Ben. He turns out to have a dark side.

Justin will find evidence linking to where Chad has been hiding out, but he might be too late. Stefano gives his minions orders to bring Chad through the secret tunnels to the Dimera mansion!

Plans are underway for the Centennial Celebration in Salem, with Julie, Maggie and Caroline checking on the restoration of an old mansion in town. Caroline has a vision of Shawn in an old mirror. Is she losing her mind? Caroline finds her way back to the hospital as her condition worsens, but Kayla and Victor don’t see eye to eye on her treatment. Look for Victor to come up with a cure for Caroline just at the right time!

Thaao Penghlis returns to Days as long lost son Andre. He has some plans of his own in mind and will cater to Stefano to be in his good graces. Look for Andre & Chad to clash at some point.

Gabi gets out of prison and is back but for only a little while (look for the actress to be in the new FX series Snowfall).

Marlena will be attacked by the serial killer on September 23rd, and a supposed glimpse of the killer will appear on September 24th. But in true Days fashion, the identity of the killer will be a mystery until the Centennial Celebration on November 9th.
