Photo: Gabi Hernandez and baby Arianna.  Actress Camila Banus has played the role of Gabi since 2010. She is leaving the show towards the end of the month. Banus also played the character of Loa Montez on One Life to Live from October 2008 to May 2009.

Spring may be in the air, but for the month of May on Days, it’s time to say goodbye to a few cast mates. Nick continues to push Will’s and others buttons and things turn violent. More than one person in Salem wants Nick Fallon dead! EJ hires a hit man to do the dirty work, while Sami gets cold feet about it. EJ assures a panicked Abigail he will stop Nick from exposing their affair. Lucas and Kate are furious when they hear Nick is making a bold move against Will. Kate’s gun goes missing.

Eric has a romantic surprise for Nicole, while Paige finally gets closer with JJ. Daniel makes a shocking discovery on Smith Island and an emotional Nicole admits all to Daniel. Nicole tries desperately to get back with Eric despite Sami’s defiance. Rafe confronts Jordan over her secret plans to leave town. She is fed up with Kate! Marlena makes a startling discovery related to the murder case. Abigail and Ben share their first kiss!  Hope continues her investigation of Nick’s death by questioning Abigail and Kate. Hope corners Lucas with damning evidence, and he reluctantly makes a confession about the night Nick was shot. Brady gets back together with Theresa. Johnꞌs attempt to show a little love to his son backfires. When he tries to encourage Brady to dump Theresa, that only makes Brady more determined to stick with her. EJ drops a bombshell on Abigail, then swears her to secrecy. Yes, the DiMeras ordered the hit on Nick but their hit man did not do the job! Abigail agrees not to tell …Will comes forward to confess for the crime in order to protect Sonny, but then there’s a strange twist of events. Could dear Gabi have something to do with the late Nick?

Kate gets cozy again with Stefano, and EJ questions her motives. It seems that Kate is trying to play games.

Updates: Alison Sweeney’s last film date on Days is at the end of May and the actress told Ellen on the talk show that she’d be seen through part of November 2014. EJ Dimera actor James Scott’s contract was reported to be up this year and it turns out, his last tape date was May 2nd.  He is happy with his eight year run on Days and is looking for some personal time off.  It remains to be seen how the duo will be written out of the show. Child characters Johnny & Sydney will also exit the show.

Actor Justin Gaston is out as character Ben Rogers. He will be replaced by former All My Children’s actor Robert Scott Wilson (Pete Cortlandt) starting on Thursday, May 22nd.

Theresa’s half sister Eve will show up in Salem to wreak some havoc on her own.

Eileen Davidson (Kristen) will show up sometime in June and get to work kidnapping someone in July!

Rumors abound that Roman and Marlena will start dating., and EJ “dies”.
