Photo: Galen Laius Gering (born February 13, 1971) is best known for his portrayal of Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald on the NBC daytime soap opera Passions. He is of Russian descent and was born in L.A. At the age of 18, Gering moved to New York to start a modeling career. He traveled to Europe as a model before attending NYU for a year before finishing college at the University of Miami, where he studied creative writing and film. He has appeared in over 50 national TV commercials.When Passions was cancelled in 2008, Gering won the Days role of Rafe Hernandez, an FBI agent who was hired to guard Sami Brady while she was under witness protection. Word is that the actor  is taking a long needed vacation from Days of Our Lives as his character is in a coma.

After spying on Nicole with Brady, Kristen gets into a catfight with Nicole, which only brings her and Brady closer together.

Kristen launches a new plot to destroy Marlena.

Sami ends up in jail on June 13th after being caught in an incriminating situation. It seems that she shot Bernardi, who was in Rafe’s hospital room. And she will be in the slammer for awhile!

Will is startled by what Sonny suggests he do about Gabi and the baby.

Dan & Jennifer’s relationship gets rocky when they have to confront JJ  about trashing the doctor’s car.

Jennifer is stunned when she finds Daniel angrily tearing into JJ over his carelessness with Parker.

After Nicole and Eric argue about Sami, Nicole seeks comfort in Brady. Things heat up.
