Melanie has second thoughts about  trying to stop Nick’s parole, so she goes to Gabi for advice. Meanwhile, Maggie assures Nick that despite her support of Melanie, she  still loves him and wants the best for him. Bo, Jessica (Nick’s mom) and Hope speak up as Nick’s parole hearing gets underway. Later on, Melanie bursts into the hearing declaring she has something to say!

EJ confronts Sami about where they  stand; she’s not ready for a relationship and she can’t make any promises. EJ reveals to Sami that he’s still a DiMera. Sami find out that she needs Rafe’s testimony regarding her arrest. He rushes to Sami’s side in Horton Square when a thief tries to steal her purse! Sami is thrown against Rafe and they fall to the ground, their faces inches apart! Of course, Lucas warns EJ that Sami will tire of him.

Melanie find herself unable to testify when bad memories haunt her, but even so, her words get Nick out of jail, hopefully for good!

Rafe and Sami have a rekindled relationship, and she asks  if Rafe’s really Nicole’s baby daddy. He confides, saying that he is. But Sami doesn’t like it. Nicole sees a moment between Rafe and Sami and dispenses advice.

Abigail turns up the heat with Cameron but then cools it off!

Chad, Daniel, Maggie and Jessica  are stunned when Nick is granted parole! Melanie feels partially responsible for Nick and his situation. Meanwhile, Brady believes Nick could be more dangerous than ever. Chad and Mel make love.

Kate gets a promotion, with more power overall at Titan! She once again taunts Sami and vows to destroy her.  Sami offers to hire Gabi back at CW. But Chad refuses to allow Gabi to go back to modelling.

Will tells Kate he’s nursing a broken heart. Sonny tries making amends with bad boy Tad and manages a tiny bit of progress.

Sami is disraught over Rafe’s insistence that he’s Nicole’s baby daddy. Marlena tells Sami to focus on her children. Rafe thinks Sami fired Gabi and lashes out. He soon apologizes when he hears the truth.

Kayla returns to the hospital as Chief-of-Staff! She wants to rehire Jenn as Director of Communications, which upsets Dr. Dan.

Nicole moves in with Jennifer and learns that she has a baby boy!

Sonny and Will  try to talk when they’re interrupted by Chad and Brian.
Marlena counsels Will.

Melanie learns Nick must stay in Salem as part of the terms of his parole, so Chad pays Nick a threatening visit.

To end the week, Chad pops the big question to Melanie!
